We Are So Grateful For Your Ongoing Support!
See below for ways to give year ’round and during seasonal donation campaigns

Donate annually to help Rhode Island children thrive
Our work would not be possible without the generous support of our community. Your annual gifts enable life-changing activities for children, adults, and families. Between donations (one-time or recurring), legacy gifts, and memorial giving, we offer flexible options that can be designed around your needs.

Donate in-kind items directly to children we serve
We’ve put together an Amazon Wish List of current needs and wants of the children we serve. Order off this list, have it sent to St. Mary’s and we’ll get it into the hands of local children! When purchasing your gifts, please email or call Victoria Picinich, Development Director, at cjagolinzer@smhfc.org or 401-353-3900 x 262.

Give to our Summer Appeal
We are currently raising funds to support the services we provide to children, adults, and families. Please consider giving to this important appeal so everyone who needs mental health or special education assistance will be able to access our services.

Other Ways to Give
Not looking to make a cash or in-kind donation? Check out this page to see other ways you can give such as donating securities or planned giving.

Donate during 401 Gives
Each year on April 1, the United Way of Rhode Island sponsors 401 Gives – a day of giving when people are encouraged to give to their favorite nonprofits all in one day.

2023 Children’s Friendship Awards a fantastic success
Thank you so much to all the businesses, associations, and individuals who made our May 2023 Children’s Friendship Awards and Online Auction such a wonderful success. Stay tuned for details for next year’s event and auction!
Give for Seasonal Needs: Donation Drives
The reality is that the kids and families we serve often come to us with few (and sometimes no) individual belongings. That means we have ongoing needs for certain clothing and personal care items. During seasons like back-to-school and the holidays, we host donation drives for items specific to those moments in time. See below for details of the various Donation Drives we hold throughout the year. If you would like to donate to a Donation Drive, please email or call Christina Jagolinzer, Development Director, at cjagolinzer@smhfc.org or 401-353-3900 x 262.
April-May

Help send kids to Summer Camp with horses
Each year we raise funds to send 10 of the children we serve to summer horse camp at Faith Hill Farm. We generally need to raise about $11,000 to make this possible for children who can find healing in being around horses.
July-August

Get our kids back to school!
Help us provide the necessary supplies for children attending our special education George N. Hunt Campus School each fall. Click on the image of the Back-to-School Wish List above and purchase new items from our list. We appreciate receiving them by August 25.
October-November

Feed 50 families at Thanksgiving
Each year we request your help to allow us to give $50 supermarket gift cards to 50 of the low-income families that we serve so they can have a good and bountiful Thanksgiving!
September-December

Holiday Giving
During the holiday season we seek cash and in-kind donations to make the holidays bright for the children we serve.
